A Dragør Photo Diary

As I mentioned in my last post, we decided to visit Dragør at the weekend, a small fishing town just south of Copenhagen Airport, about 5/6 miles from my apartment. Luckily the weather was warm (although a bit cloudy at times) so we managed to walk around the town and take lots of pretty pictures. Dragør is one of the cutest towns I think I've ever been to, the cottages were so pretty, and it's definitely a place I could imagine going to as an old lady (which I basically am already...)

What We Did

We ended up cycling to Dragør, which was a killer since I haaaate cycling so much, although it was pretty cool to cycle under the airport and see the planes taking off. If I went again, I would probably take the bus because I'm so lazy.

It's a pretty small town which was easy to walk around. Luckily the weather was really warm for most of the day, which I think is necessary for a trip to the town since most of the activities are outdoors. We walked to the harbour, which had a lot of cute boats docked. It was also cool to see the Oresund Bridge from a different angle, it definitely looked pretty cool and so much bigger from where we stood.

We also ended up walking down the main street, which was full of cafes and second hand stores, we popped into Charlotte R which was an adorable clothes shop, and had some of the best second-hand finds I ever found(?) but unfortunately I'm not in need of any clothes at the moment. We also walked around a few of the side street, and decided that every single house was cute.

We also visited Dragør Fort, which was pretty creepy. The views from the top were pretty nice, although the wind was insane. There was the strangest mermaid statue at the fort, and I gotta say, the mermaid's boobs were great...

Where We Ate

We ended up having tea at Fru Munk, which was also very cute (I'm not sure how many more times I'm going to say the word 'cute' in this post, but I'm sure it'll be a lot). Unfortunately we ended up sitting in the shade, but luckily the weather was still pretty warm.

For lunch we ate at Cafe Blink, a restaurant on the harbour. There was also a street food festival, which also looked pretty cool, but we ended up at the restaurant because it smelled so damn good. I ended up having a burger, which was so good, although I probably should have had a fish dish since I was in a fishing town.

We went to Laura Ella Bakery for dessert, there were so many things I wanted to try. We ended up getting a berry cake, a strawberry tart and an almond pastry. They were all great, and I definitely enjoyed letting my inner old lady come out and enjoy the bakery. I would definitely recommend visiting the bakery if you're in the town.
