Spring Has Sprung

This post is loooooooooong overdue but I didn't want to not-post these pictures as it's something I really want to remember in the future and the sole-purpose of the blog was to document the best bits of studying abroad in Copenhagen. On 6th April, Rosie and I went to see Grundtvigs Kirke, I had seen so many posts on Instagram and it looked so interesting that we thought it would be nice to check out since the weather was pretty warm. The church was fab, although the exterior of the building is ugly. We also ended up listening to a choir practice which was pretty cute and made the whole experience a little bit better.

I'd also heard about a cherry blossom trail in the nearby Bispebjerg Cemetery (again, thanks Instagram) so we also headed to that and it was one of the prettiest things I've ever seen. I would definitely recommend going if you're in Copenhagen during the spring-time since it's not far away from the city centre. The blossom trail was packed. There were so many people taking photos, or judging those who were, and I saw so many parents taking the cutest pictures of their kids. We ended up taking a lot of pictures, every few minutes we ended up stopping to take more because it was so pretty.
Afterwards we went for lunch at Cafe Bjerget (I think, honestly it was so long ago I can't fully remember) which was lovely before heading back to the centre and sunbathing in the King's Garden since the weather was about 17º. It was fun realise that British people aren't the only ones to celebrate mildly-war temperatures with beers in the park while we talked about our love for Michelle Obama's Becoming - a seriously good book that everyone should read.

I think the visit was definitely one of the highlights of the spring in Copenhagen, it was different to anything else I have done here, or at home, and will definitely be something I remember for a long time.
