Monday 20th May
After being a little disappointed by the GoT ending (not by the actual ending but by the pace of the final series in general) I went to the library to finish my history essay and re-start my gender one. Luckily, I managed to make good progress so decided to take advantage of the sunny weather and go for a walk around the Lakes. It was ridiculous how warm it was, so I went to Velorbis Cafe, which was pretty cool. I loved the cafe so definitely plan on going again before I head back to the UK. I even managed to make do a few more edits for my essay.
The hot weather lasted the entire day so I spent the evening in the park behind my apartment, which was quite relaxing.
Tuesday 21st May
I needed a change of scenery so headed to Studenterhuset to write my essay. I'll forever be grateful of the student discount in the bar because my wallet still isn't used to Copenhagen prices. I didn't write as much as usual but headed to St. Peders Bageri and they had the raspberry tarts back in the window - praise the lord! I have missed these so much, I honestly ate them every other week last autumn but hadn't managed to get one since November or so. It was just as good as I remembered.
Wednesday 22nd May
Wednesday was a really slow day, the only thing I did was write my essay so it was pretty boring.
I managed to buy some roses for only 12kr which was an insanely good bargain, I feel like I've become an old woman in Copenhagen because I love fresh flowers in my room at the moment.
Thursday 23rd May
Again, my morning was spent writing my essay, which has definitely taken over my life at the moment. But Heather and I decided to go to the King's Gardens, the best spot in Copenhagen in our humble opinions, and have a short essay-writing break. We also went to Det Vide Hus, which had great pastries. I only had a hot chocolate, but think I should cut down on drinking them because I always seem to get a stomach-ache recently, which is so odd.
Friday 24th May
I had my last lecture on Friday, which was bittersweet. The class wasn't my favourite, it was so long and tiring, but it was sad to realise that I am so close to going home now. The lecture was pretty useful, and only lasted one hour which was great.
Saturday 25th May
I went into the centre to write a bit more for my essay, then headed to Christiansborg for the climate march. I didn't stay long because it was all in Danish, but I managed to hear Greta Thunberg speak. Honestly, she was so great and has inspired me to try a little harder in being more environmentally friendly.
After the rally, I headed towards Nørrebro and went to a cosy cafe and had the best milkshake in my life. I'm not entirely sure why it was so great but it was honestly the best.
Sunday 26th May
I headed to Østebro on Sunday for a small group study. I managed to submit my essay, which was great, and then headed to Juno's the Bakery. I had the best pistachio/rhubarb tart, and would honestly travel back to Østerbo for another one in an instant.
