Monday 13th May
Monday marked my last (probably, I'm still confused about class next Friday because it's not a real class) lecture in Copenhagen, which was pretty sad because it means my time in Denmark is quickly coming to an end. After class, I mana
The weather was also pretty good, so Sav and I went for an ice cream in the park, the ice cream parlour we wanted to visit was closed, but, living opposite a huge shopping centre has its perks so there was plenty of other places to go. I ended up getting the Oreo ice cream, which was great, but I definitely want to try their ice cream desserts before I go home, because they looked so good.
Tuesday 14th May
Tuesday was a pretty slow day, I was pretty productive but it was also pretty boring so I didn't end up taking any pictures and I don't really have much to talk about. Although our shower got blocked, which was great...
Wednesday 15th May
Since I quite enjoy working in the Central library during the weekends, I decided to go on Wednesday and write my history essay, which is due on the 28th May. I was definitely more productive than I usually am, and managed to make a lot of progress on my essay. After finishing my to-do list for the day, I decided to reward myself with a trip to Laura's Bakery and the King's Gardens as the weather was ridiculously good. The raspberry shortcrust was sooooo nice, I will definitely be going back in the future to try some more of the goods.
Thursday 16th May
Again, I went to the Central Library. I was quite productive, going to the central library has become a bit of a regular occurrence as I get so much more work done than I do at the university library or at home. After the library, again I went to the King's Gardens as the weather was 19 or so degrees again. I even managed to get work done in the park as I edited the first eight pages of my essay whilst I was there. Then I had a wander around the city in search of some new make up.
Since Ireland was performing in the Eurovision Semi-Final, I decided to watch that with Heather. I did mis Graham Norton's commentary on it, but we tried our best to compensate, so it wasn't too bad. Unfortunately, Ireland didn't qualify, but Norway (aka the best act of the night) did, so I was still very pleased.
Friday 17th May
It was another bank holiday in Denmark so I took it as a sign from above and did absolutely nothing. I didn't even leave the house and spent the day watching the most pointless YouTube videos. I'm quite annoyed looking back, I had been told the gym was closed but apparently it was not, so I wish I had gone to the gym and at least do something productive, but alas, it was not meant to be.
Saturday 18th May
This has probably been one of the best weekends I have had in a long time. I didn't do anything special but managed to go to the centre on Saturday, because I went to the library (again). I also found a cute smoothie bar and went to Zoo Bar and had one the most intense games of jenga ever. I ended up winning (of course) which made the game even more fun.
In the evening I ended up watching Eurovision and I am shocked that Norway won the public vote, I was over the moon. I also found it hilarious that the UK came last (Brexit, lol) but we were pretty terrible so that's no surprise. It's like we don't even try any more.
Sunday 19th May
Again, I went to the central library and finished the first draft of my essay so I am over the moon. I'm a 1000 characters over the limit at the moment but that can easily be resolved because I know I have written a lot of nonsense.
After finishing my work, we tried to go to the Black Diamond but it was closed so ended up walking around Christiansborg Palace and found some of the most picturesque spots in Copenhagen. We spent half an hour or so wandering around and taking some cute pictures before heading home. I haven't shared all of the pictures of the gardens because I think I will write a separate post to gush about how much I loved it.
The weather was crazy hot on Sunday, the metro home was a nightmare so rather than cooking, we decided to pop into Fields and grab a burger. I love Sunset Boulevard, they make some of the best fast-food burgers, so I'd definitely recommend if you're in Copenhagen and in need of a quick meal.
